Stacey Acevero
Community Manager

Stacey is the social media community manager of Vocus and PRWeb. In this role, she engages the online community through company social channels such as Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn daily with articles and conversation about PR, small businesses, SEO, social media and more. She is all about creative social media marketing ideas as well as building the Vocus brand. Stacey also pens of some of PRWeb’s case studies. An early adopter of social media, Stacey was news-on-demand project manager and a 4-year veteran of our Vocus media research center before joining our marketing team. She attended the University of Maryland at College Park, majoring in communication. In her spare time, she has managed her own modeling career entirely through social media, launching her own marketing campaigns and landing herself in publications nationwide.
Laura Spaventa
Community Manager, Help A Reporter Out (HARO)

Laura is the social media community manager of HARO. With this role, she manages HARO’s various social media outlets (Facebook, Twitter, etc), blogs about trends within the industry, and works on media relations for the service. An avid fan of social media, Laura is constantly looking to evolve her knowledge by attending social media events and researching the “next big thing.” Prior to taking on the community manager role, she worked as HARO’s senior editor for three years and was one of the original employees prior to HARO’s acquisition. Laura graduated from Virginia Tech with a BA in communication and a BS in apparel merchandising.

Award-winning journalist, copywriter, author and writing coach Chris has been telling stories professionally for ten years and he still loves his job. He also loves helping other people tell their own stories better. His golden rule: less is more, which is why his profile is short. Chris holds a BA from the University of Oxford.\
Jiyan Wei
Consultant

As a previous Director of Product Management for PRWeb, Jiyan has driven product platform strategy and roadmap execution for PRWeb, the leading online news distribution service. In his current role as consultant, he supports strategic business planning, partnerships, and marketing/sales. Prior to Vocus, Jiyan served as Vice President of Online Services for v-Fluence Public Relations where he was responsible for defining and developing services to monitor and analyze online activity. He earned a BA in English from Georgetown University and Masters in Media/Communications from the London School of Economics where his dissertation focused on media production and consumption in social media communities. He currently sites on the vendor council for the Society for New Communications Research (SNCR) and maintains a blog, New Influencer, where he writes about media and technology.
